Hello, so I recently bought a laptop from Best Buy which I use for a few days and had my files downloaded to until it started acting up and I returned it to Best Buy after doing a factory reset. My question is can they recover my files including my tax files for any reason they want?

Best answer: It could simply be that the laptop is very old - failing capacitors etc, the wifi card may be failing etc. You may be getting interference from neighbouring wifi networks, try changing the broadcast channel of the router. Also check there are no cordless phones, baby alarms, or cordless doorbells as these can use... show more

Best answer: Either way is fine. Your battery's health will only be effected if you allow it to drain all the way to 0. Sleep mode is fine, but I would have it connected to a charger or laptop dock. As Joe mentioned, you need to do reboots for Windows to refresh and install updates every now and then.

Best answer: The CPU fan needs to be replaced..... And... There is no want or alternative here. The CPU will throttle and then shut the system down if the fan isn't working, period.
